How to resolve SWF Census Error 6000

In this guide, we will show you how to resolve the SWF Census Error 6000.

If you have run your School Workforce Census and are finding the 6000 Error, you can use the steps in this guide to remedy it.

DfE Validation

If you have received this Error for some of your Subjects, you need to go to the Groups page and change the Group Type to Subject.

Subjects can be amended individually or in bulk so you now have two options;

Select the Subject that you need and press View.

Once the Subject is open, scroll down slightly to the Additional Details panel where you will see Subject Group and Subject Classification on the right.

You need to make sure that a Subject Group and Subject Classification is set. If so, you need to try setting a different one to resolve the Error.

Once you have set/changed the Subject Code, run a new SWF Census and see if the error clears after you Save & Validate it.
