Use this guide to resolve School Census Error 100

Error 100; For the 2023-24 Academic year

DfE Validation<ReferenceDate> must be present and must be:

• 2023-10-05 where <Term> equals  ‘AUT’
• 2024-01-18 where <Term> equals ‘SPR’
• 2024-05-16 where <Term> equals ‘SUM’ 

Explanation: check the Reference Date is correct in your Census Return via Modules>Census>School>Select Return>Edit. For Autumn 2023 Census this is 05/10/2023, for Spring Census 2024 this is 18/01/2024 and for Summer 2023 this is 16/05/2024

Go to Modules>Census>School click on the required return, this will highlight in blue. Then click Edit.

The Reference Date should be pre populated

As the example below is for an Autumn 2023 Census return the Reference Date is set to 05/10/2023

IMPORTANT in order for the resolved error/query to be removed from the list of errors/queries you would need to generate a new Census return and remember to use save & validate for the errors/queries to update/clear.
