This guide shows you how to record and report on COVID-19 related non-attendance for the 2020-21 Academic Year in Bromcom.
It should be read alongside the DfE guidance on managing and reporting on attendance in relation to COVID-19.
COVID-19 Attendance Codes for the 2020-21 Academic Year
The Government has updated the Regulations on recording attendance to ensure schools identify those ‘not attending in circumstances related to Coronavirus (COVID-19).’
COVID-19 Attendance Codes in Bromcom
To support you to identify non-attendance resulting from COVID-19, or potential contact with a confirmed case, Bromcom has added new attendance codes to the MIS.
We have also removed previous COVID-19 attendance codes for 2019-20, explained here.

You can view and edit the codes from the Attendance Codes page, which you can navigate to from the Global Search Menu.

Select the 2020-21 Academic Year to see the new codes

Reporting on the New Codes
To see totals for each category you can use the COVID-19 Dashboard, which you can navigate to from the Homepage.

You will see the new totals at the bottom of the list.
