DfE API for Attendance Data

Bromcom is part of the Department for Education’s (DfE) Attendance Data Collection pilot, which you can read about here.

This does not replace the Daily Educational Settings Status Form.

If you consent to take part in this, Bromcom will automatically pass the below information to the DfE for each morning and afternoon session, from the register:

  • The total number of pupils for each absence and attendance code within each year group; and
  • The total number of pupils on roll and registered to the school within each year group.

Once consent given and enabled, we will be uploading the data three times a day – at 10am, 1pm and 4pm.

Important: you may need to check with your senior management about whether to take part in the pilot. If you are part of a MAT, the central Trust may also be making the decision on whether or not to take part.

Enable the Integration from your MIS

Go to Configuration > Setup > DfE Integration.

This will take you the Settings page where you can add your consent by using the Tickbox and selecting Save.

A message will appear in the top right-hand corner of the screen to indicate this has been Saved successfully.

Disabling the Integration

To remove Consent, simply untick the box and click Save.
