This guide describes how to create a Lesson Plan from the Teacher Dashboard. It covers the Lesson Plan creation process for both Secondary and Primary schools.

Navigate to Teacher Dashboard>Assignments

Select Lesson Plan

Select New.

The Add/Edit Lesson Plan pop up has the following tabs.
Note Class Assignments have to be added to the Lesson Plan before the record can be saved.
Details
- Title: Enter the title for the Lesson Plan
- Description: Enter a description
- Subject: Check this is correct and choose from drop down if required
- Year Group: Check this is correct and choose from drop down if required
- Share a Copy in Learning Resources: Tick if required
- Bromcom AI : Generate Content: This may be visible if the school has setup Bromcom AI, see here for further guidance.

Content
Select New

Enter the following information as required
- Title*: Title for the Content.
- Description: Description of the Content.
- Related Link: Type in the link.
- Resource: Browse to select a resource saved locally.

Prerequisite Content: choose from the dropdown choices, this can be used in the example Students must complete one part of the Lesson Plan to move onto the next, this is visible if sharing Lessons Plans in the Student Portal.

Below is an example of Prerequisite Content in a desktop view of Student Portal.

Parent Content: Selecting an item from the drop-down creates a folder structure within the Lesson Plan.

Once the Content is complete click Add, then click Save.

To Reorder or Remove Content in the left-hand panel click on the Contents and select the required option.
Click Save

To make changes to Content select the Content in the left-hand panel, make the changes then select Update
Click Save.

Class Assignments
- Type in the class name in Class* : type in the class name
- Set the Available From and Available To dates as required.
- Select Add, more than one class can be added using the same process.
- Select Save.
