This article looks at the following functions within wTimetable
The minimum permissions required to create a Timetable are found in the Timetable Module from Config > Setup > Roles and Permissions > Choose Role>Edit>Timetable > Timetable App.

Create New
Go to Modules>wTimetable then in the Projects page, click once on the applicable Project Name

Then in the Timetables page for the selected Project, click on the top right New.
Note: if you have already created a Timetable and can see it on the page – click once on the Timetable Name to proceed to the next step.

Enter a name for your new Timetable in Timetable Name*
Select a Period structure* from the dropdown.
Click Save.

A message ‘Success. Timetable was created successfully’ appears.
Note: AM and PM are mandatory Period Types for statutory attendance and play no part in the Timetable modelling and are for information only on this page.
Note: Where split breaks and lunch are required, teaching periods (TP) must be used and not the available BR, LU, AS, PS period types i.e. you can only Timetable classes in TP ( Teaching Periods)
Edit
Go to Modules > wTimetable and click on the required Project Name.

Under Actions click the Edit (pencil icon) on the relevant Timetable.

To edit the Period Structure click on Add/Edit Period Structure in the popup.

Opens the Config > Curriculum > Period Structure in a new page for your school ID.

Note: AM and PM are mandatory Period Types for statutory attendance. Where split breaks and lunch are required, these must be teaching periods (TP) not the available BR, LU, AS, PS period types.
Once saved in the MIS, click the Refresh button back in the same popup, and the new Period Structure will appear in the dropdown.

If required edit the Timetable Name and Period Structure from the dropdown.
Click Save.

To Edit Day/Week Names switch the toggle Edit Day/Week Names to on.

Edit the descriptions as needed, one at a time.
Click Save.

Copy
Creates a Timetable called ‘Copy of’.
Under Actions click on the Copy icon for the Timetable you would like to Copy.

A message ‘Success. Timetable was successfully copied’ appears.
‘Copy of ____’ has been created in the Timetable table and positioned at the top.

Note: If more than one Timetable copy is made subsequent copies will have the date and time stamp added to the description

Delete
Click on the Delete icon for the Timetable you would like to delete.

A message ‘Are you sure you want to delete? All versions will be deleted with the Master’appears.
Click Delete to delete the Timetable.
A message‘Success. Timetable was successfully deleted’ appears.
