How To Manage Programme Aims

From the left Menu go to Modules > Curriculum > Student Post 16 > Manage Programme Aims.

This will open the Manage Programme Aims – All Post-16 page, which on first view will be empty.

There are four options at the top Choose Students, Add, Edit and Delete there is also an i Information icon.

Click on the Choose Students button to add Students to the page, select either All Post-16 to add All of the Students or Student to add selected Students.

Note: When changing the Academic Year the Active On Date will return the Autumn Census Date for that year as the default setting.

Now you have your list of Post-16 Students the Add button can be used to add Programme Aims for those who do not yet have any. Tick the boxes to the left of the Student or tick the top left box to select All.

If you have selected Students who already have a Programme Aim a Warning message will be given.

If the selected Students have no Programme Aims the Add Programme Aims pop-up will be displayed. Clicking on the Body icon top right will display the list of selected Students.

You can now add the Programme Aim, selecting from the Programme Types, 16-19 study programme, Transition programme or T Level, set the Start and Planned End Dates, the Status allows Continuing only, tick the Traineeship box if required. When done click the Apply button, the table will now be updated.

To Edit the Programme Aims, tick the boxes to the left of the Student or tick the top left box to select All and click the Edit button. If you select Students with no Programme Aims a Warning message will be given.

If the selected Students have Programme Aims the Edit Programme Aims pop-up will be displayed. Clicking on the Body icon top right will display the list of selected Students.

You can now Edit the Programme Aim, selecting from the Programme Types, 16-19 study programme, Transition programme or T Level, the Start, Planned End Date and End Date, the Status which now displays Continuing and the additional options of Completed and Withdrawn, finally tick the Traineeship box if required. When done click the Apply button, the table will now be updated.

To Delete the Programme Aims, tick the boxes to the left of the Student or tick the top left box to select All and click the Delete button, a Warning message will be given listing all of the selected Students, to continue click Delete.

A further Warning will be given, click Yes to continue.

The Students will remain in the list but will have no Programme Aim Type listed.

Note: Any changes made here will be reflected in Student Details on the Enrolment page where selected. However, once a Programme has an End Date, in case of error, it is not possible to reset the Learning Aims from the Manage Programme Aims page. This would be done through the Bulk Learning Aim Update page.

To re-direct to Learning Aims of a Student clicking on the Learning Aim Counter will open the Student Details page for that Student.
