Note: This guide is only applicable to Schools in Northern Ireland.
This guide looks at the Referral page in Vision where users can view authorised Pupil Suspension Forms and Bullying Forms transferred from the school MIS to Vision.
Permissions
Go to Vision > Admin > Roles.
The Administration – Referrals permission will have to be allocated to User Roles. The user will also need to have permission for Student Personal ID in the Data Drilldown Tier.

How to manage Referrals
Go to Vision > Admin > Referrals
The Referrals page will display authorised Pupil Suspension Forms and Bullying Forms transferred from the school MIS to Vision, and in here users can:
- Filter columns, and clear column filters
- Search for text within the table
- Export as Excel
- Preview or Download the Forms in the Actions column
- View Read/Unread Status – Read Status displays the ‘Read on’ date and time stamp
- Any new document that is added will be shown as Unread Status
Users will be notified in the bell icon that a new Form has been transferred to Vision. Clicking on the bell will open the Notifications popup, alternatively click on the Go to Page to open the Notifications in a full page.
The Notifications page displays a title, text, and time stamp for each notification as well as:
- Active badge for Unread notifications
- The option to Dismiss individual notifications or Dismiss All.
Clicking on Click here to view, users will be navigated to the Vision > Admin > Referrals page in a new tab.
Note:
- If the document is deleted in the MIS, then the document will be deleted from Vision.
- If the record for exclusion is deleted, the generated document is not deleted in the MIS. Therefore the document in Vision is also not deleted.
