How to Manage Room Unavailability Codes

In this guide we’ll look at how you can Add and Edit Room Unavailability Codes which are used when adding a Room Closure.

Access: The minimum permissions required to access Room Unavailability Codes can be found in the Cover module from within Config > Setup > Roles and Permissions.

Go to Config > Cover > Room Unavailability Codes.

Pathway

The page will display all your currently active Room Unavailability Codes. You can Add a new code by clicking New in the top left hand corner.

Room Unavailability Codes

This will open the Add Room Unavailability Code panel to the right hand side of the page. Enter a Description and a Code, ensure that the Active box is ticked, and select where in the list you would like this Code to appear using the Sort Order drop down. Once you’re happy click Save.

Add New

You can Edit an existing Room Unavailability Code by selecting it from the list on the left, this will open the Edit Room Unavailability Code on the right.

Edit

Make any changes as required and click Save.

Note: You cannot Delete a Room Unavailability Code but you can make it Inactive by unticking the Active tick box. This will mean it is not immediately visible on the Room Unavailability Codes page and is no longer available for use. However, if you do wish to gain access to it again, you can view and edit it by unticking the Show Only Active box at the top of the page.
