How to manage Sundry Invoices

This guide will show you how to:

  • Post a Sundry Invoice
  • Post a VAT only Sundry Invoice

Post a Sundry Invoice

Access: The minimum permissions required to access the Invoices and Credit Notes page is found in the Finance module of Config > Setup > Roles and Permissions.

Firstly, check your Supplier is set up as a Sundry Supplier. Go to Suppliers.

Select Show Sundry from the righthand side

If your Supplier is not listed, you will need to create a new one by using the New button and then ensuring you tick Sundry Supplier when adding their details (for further information see Adding a Supplier)

Next go to Modules > Finance > Finance Home Page and Accounts Payable.

Select Invoices and Credit Notes from Accounts Payable section.

Select NewSundry Invoice.

Complete the details and select Save

Select Record/Edit Invoice.

Fill in details as appropriate.

Select Save or Save and Next if there are more lines.

Add any Attachments.

The Invoice is then ready to be Authorised (see How to Add an Order Invoice))

Post a VAT Only Sundry Invoice

Access: The permission required to raise VAT Only Invoices and Credit Notes is found in the Finance module of Config > Setup > Roles and Permissions under Finance > Accounts Payable > Invoices and Credit Notes.

When adding a Credit Note Item select the VAT Code that has a rate greater than zero and set the Net Amount (£) for the Item to zero.

Users can then double click on the VAT Invoice Row to edit the VAT Net Amount (£).

In Adjust VAT Total popup, users can now edit the VAT Amount (£) and Save.

This will result in a VAT only Invoice or Credit Note.
