Access: The minimum permissions required to access Working Patterns can be found in the Framework module from within Config > Setup > Roles & Permissions.

Pre-Requisites: In order to add a Working Pattern for a Staff Member they will need at least one active Contract. For more information please see How to add Staff Contract Information.
To update Staff Working Patterns go to the Staff List Page by selecting Staff from the left hand menu. Select the Staff Member who’s Working Pattern you would like to update from the list by clicking on them once to highlight them blue, then click View.
Select Working Patterns from the left hand menu.
Editing Working Patterns
The Working Patterns panel will display Working Patterns for any Roles that the Staff Member has been assigned in the Contracts section of the staff profile. If you have not yet added a Working Pattern to the Role for this Staff Member this will show No Working Pattern Configured.
To Edit the Working Pattern associated with a Role click the Pencil icon to the right hand side.
This will open the Edit Existing Working Pattern pop-up.
The Contract and Role fields will be populated for you based on the Role you selected.
In the Working Patterns section, select a Day of the Week from the drop down. If the Staff Member works the same hours on multiple days in the week, you can select multiple days.
Enter a Start Time and an End Time for the selected days. You can also use the Clock icon to select the time from a drop down.
Once you’re happy click the Plus icon on the right hand side to save. This will add a new row that you can use to continue adding Working Patterns for different days of the week as required.
Select a Start Date for the Working Pattern, if you know the End Date for the Working Pattern you also have the option to add that here however this is not required.
Once you’re happy, click Save.
The Working Pattern will then display in the panel.
Deleting Working Patterns
You also have the option to Delete a Working Pattern by selecting the Bin icon on the right hand side.
You’ll see the following confirmation message, click Proceed to confirm.
Creating New Working Patterns
You can Create a new working pattern by clicking New.
You will then need to select which Contract and Role the working pattern relates to using the drop downs.
Once you have selected a Contract and Role continue to add information following the instructions earlier in this guide.
Note: Working Patterns do not impact Cover so you will still be able to schedule a Staff Member for Cover, when they are not in work according to their Working Pattern. You will need to keep this in mind when arranging Cover.
