This guide can be used to troubleshoot missing Student Attendance
This issue generally occurs due to several factors, including the deletion of a Student’s Enrolment during modifications, incorrect adjustments to Academic Days, or the unintended removal of Tutor Group memberships and/or Tutor Group Timetables.

For the Student Attendance to show it must have the following:
2. The Student must be On Roll at the time
3. The Student must be in a Group of that type (e.g. Tutor Group) for the time missing
4. The Group must have a Timetable for the time missing
It must be an Academic Day
You can check if a specific date is an Academic Day by navigating to the Academic Days section within the Curriculum Module. Here’s how:
Go to Config > Curriculum > Academic Days – This will display the academic calendar.
Select the Academic Year – The system defaults to the current year, but you can choose past or future years.
Tip: Click on Display Timetable Days for an overview of the number given to each day

Review the Day Status – The calendar will indicate whether a date is a standard academic day, a holiday, or a staff-only day using the
Day Status:
(-) Normal School Day; ($) Staff Only; (!) Enforced Closure; (#) Holiday; (*) Not part of Term
Edit if Necessary – If adjustments are needed click the Edit icon to the right of the week you wish to amend and then use the AM/PM dropdowns to modify the day’s classification.

Please see How to Edit Academic Days if you need assistance to amend these.
The Student must be On Roll at the time
Navigate to the Student List, find and select the Student in question and click View to go to the Student Profile

Check Enrollment Status – In the Student’s profile, click the Enrolment tab to the left and check the dates the Student has been On Roll. Make sure they were On Roll during the missing Attendance dates.
To amend this, please see How to Change a Student’s Enrolment Status.
The Student must be in a Group of that type (e.g. Tutor Group) for the time missing
For an overview of the Student’s Memberships you can use the Enrolment Tab in the Student profile and scroll down the page to view the relevant Memberships. For example, Tutor Group membership of the Student (as shown below)

If you need to add memberships, then please see How to Add Students to Tutor Groups.
The Group must have a Timetable for the time missing
Click on Groups and click Group Type using the dropdown to select the type you wish to view.
Select the Tutor Group and click View to open its details
Check Associated Timetable – Scroll down to the Associated Timetable panel to see if a Schedule is linked during the timeframe of the missing Attendance.
If a Timetable does not exist then please see How to Edit a Tutor Group Timetable
Note: If the Student has Attendance for the time, but that link is then broken, then the Attendance will go into backup tables.
Once the link is restored, If the Attendance is still not showing then the Support team can run a process to bring back the Attendances from the backup tables for that specified Academic Year. Alternatively, this happens automatically as part of the overnight process on a Sunday (again, once the link has been restored).
