In this guide we’ll look at how you can use the Behaviour Dashboard to view and analyse Behaviour figures.
Access: The minimum permissions required to access Behaviour Dashboard can be found in the Profile module from within Config > Setup > Roles & Permissions.

To access the Behaviour Dashboard, go to the Home page and click on the drop down next to Overview (Note: this might say My Dashboard instead if you have timetabled sessions assigned to you.) Then select Behaviour.
Settings
Click Settings in the top right hand corner.
- Behaviour Date – Select a Date Range you would like to look at the Behaviour Data for. You can select a pre-defined range from the drop down, or if you select Custom Date Range you can select your own date range (Note: The dates you select will need to fall within the same academic year)
- Adjustment Type – Select from Positive, Negative or Neutral. You can only view 1 Adjustment Type on the Behaviour Dashboard at a time.
- Location – If you would like to view the figures for Behaviour Events recorded only in a specific location you can select the Location from the drop down.
- Event – If you would like to only view the figures for a specific Behaviour Event, or a group of Behaviour Events you can select them from this drop down to filter the information on the dashboard.
- Event Type – If you would like to only view the figures for a specific Event Type or a group of Event Types you can select them from this drop down to filter the information on the dashboard.
- Event Group – If you would like to only view the figures for a specific Event Group, or a selection of specific Event Groups you can select them from this drop down to filter the information on the dashboard.
- Owner – If you would like to see Events logged by the same Owner you can select them in this drop down to filter the figures on the dashboard.
- Year Group – If you would like to filter the Events included on the dashboard to specific Year Groups select the Year Group(s) from this drop down.
- Tutor Group – If you would like to filter the Events included on the dashboard to Tutor Group(s) select them from this drop down.
- Report Group – If you would like to filter the Events included on the dashboard to Report Group(s) select them from this drop down.
Once you’re happy with your selections press Apply and the Behaviour Dashboard will filter to your selections.
Headline Figures
The Headline Figures section will display some key information about your behaviour data.
Overall
The Overall graph by default will show the number of Behaviour Events by Year Group.
You can use the drop down in the top right hand corner to select which Behaviour figures you would like to see.
You also have the Expand icon in the top right hand corner.
The Expand icon will expand the graph and display a table containing all the information included in the figures on the graph. You can also view more detail about a specific Year Group by clicking on that year groups bar on the chart. You can also Export the information in the table using the Grid Actions.
Location
By default the next graph will display Behaviour Events by Location.
There is a drop down in the top left hand corner that you can use to select which element of the Behaviour Event you would like to see.
There is also a drop down in the top right that can be used to select whether to view Total Events or Total Points.
You also have the Expand icon in the top right hand corner.
The Expand icon will expand the graph and display a table containing all the information included in the figures on the graph. You can also view more detail about a specific Sections of the graph (In this case Location but this will be different depending on the options you have selected in the drop downs at the top of the graph) by clicking on that year groups bar on the chart. You can also Export the information in the table using the Grid Actions.
Groups
By default the Groups graph will display Behaviour Events split by key demographics.
There is a drop down in the top right hand corner of the graph that you can use to select which statistics you would like to see by demographic.
In the top right hand corner you also have the Link Icon and the Expand Icon.
The Link icon indicates that if you update the settings of the dashboard, the new settings will be applied to this graph. If you would like to exclude this graph from updating according to the settings, click the Link icon to unlink it.
The Expand icon will expand the graph and display a table containing all the information included in the figures on the graph. You can also view more detail about a specific demographic by clicking on that groups bar on the chart. You can also Export the information in the table using the Grid Actions.
Timeline
By default the Timeline graph will display Events Per Week over the time period you have selected in settings.
There is a drop down in the top right hand corner that allows you to select which statistic you would like to view.
You also have the Expand icon in the top right hand corner.
The Expand icon will expand the graph and display a table containing all the information included in the figures on the graph. You can also view more detail about a specific Sections of the graph by clicking on them. You can also Export the information in the table using the Grid Actions.
Owner
By default the Owner graph will display the number of Events recorded by each Staff member.
There is a drop down in the top right to allow you to select to view either Number of Events by Staff Member or Total Points by Staff Member.
In the top right hand corner you also have the Link Icon and the Expand Icon.
The Link icon indicates that if you update the settings of the dashboard, the new settings will be applied to this graph. If you would like to exclude this graph from updating according to the settings, click the Link icon to unlink it.
The Expand icon will expand the graph and display a table containing all the information included in the figures on the graph. You can also view more detail about a specific Owner by clicking on that Owners bar on the chart. You can also Export the information in the table using the Grid Actions.
