The Student Data Quality dashboard is designed to help users identify, manage, and resolve data quality issues across student records.
Access: The minimum permissions required to access the Student Data Quality Dashboard are found in the Profile Module from within Config > Setup > Roles and Permissions.

From the Teacher Dashboard click on the My Dashboard drop down to see Student Data Quality.

If there are no classes assigned or for non teaching staff from the Overview dropdown you will see Student Data Quality.


Student/ Contacts Panels
These two panels displays the count of pupils and contacts with Duplicate, Missing or Invalid information.

- Clicking on a Student/Contact label (Duplicate, Missing, or Invalid) will filter the Student Data Quality panel underneath to show only records from that category.
- Users can click Clear Filters to reset the view and show all data.

Student Data Quality Panel
- Displays student information organised under two main headings:
- Student Information
- Legal Last Name
- Legal First Name
- Sex
- Tutor Group
- Contacts (‘sort order’ matches the layout of the Contacts panel in the Student Profile)
- Parental Responsibility
- Contact Name, Phone, & Email
- Student Information
- Search, Export, Columns, & Filters
- Use the Search bar to quickly find specific student and contact information.
- Export the current view to Excel with one click – only the data chosen (based on applied filters/search) will be exported.
- The Table Config button lets you select which columns to display in the dashboard.
- All columns include filter options for easy data refinement. To reset and view all data, click Clear Filters.
- An Active Date Filter can be applied to see On Roll only students for that specific date range (defaults to today’s date).
- When enabled – any student that is On Roll within that date range will be shown in the dashboard.
- When disabled, all students regardless of status/leaving date will be shown in table.
- Export as Excel feature will respect the Active Date Filter when enabled.

- Indicators for Data Issues:
- Duplicate contacts (yellow)
- Missing data (red)
- Invalid data (grey)
Note: Contact Phone: Users can still save contact phone numbers with formatting issues (excluding special characters), but invalid entries will be flagged in both the Student Data Quality Dashboard and Student Details > Profile > Data Quality Panel.
Valid formats:
- 8–15 digits in total
- A leading + for international numbers
- Spaces are permitted
Invalid formats:
- Fewer than 8 or more than 15 digits
- Use of ()
- Use of –
- Any other special characters
IMORTANT: Hover over the red cross next to a student’s name to see a summary of data issues.

Students > Student Details > Profile
- Double-click on a student’s name in the dashboard, to navigate to the student’s Profile page where you will find:
- Student Data Quality alert signals that some data may be missing, duplicate, or invalid data, and to check the Data Quality Panel widget.

- New Data Quality Panel.
You may need to scroll down to see the Data Quality Panel on the right.

- Clicking on a row opens the existing related popup (e.g., clicking Email Missing opens the Contact information popup).
- Once resolved, the issue is removed from the Data Quality Panel.
- Back in the Student Data Quality dashboard, users will be able to refresh the dashboard to display the latest data.
