How to view Detentions in the MCAS App

Use this guide to view Detentions in the MCAS App

The example screenshots in this guide are for illustration purposes only and may differ from the view in your App, your school will configure what you are able to see the in App.

Parent View

Parents can quickly access the Detention Details screen from the Calendar screen.

A red dot will show on the calendar days that there is an Detention

By simply clicking on a Detention event, parents will be directly taken to the Detention Details screen for more information.

In addition the Detention module is visible in the My Child screen on the App. Click on Detentions

My Child>Detentions

The Detention screen will default to display today’s date and, underneath, a list of all upcoming and previous detentions for that student. Upcoming Detentions will be sorted by earliest (next) first.

Configuration

This section shows the user how to set up the Parent View of Detentions in the App.

Go to Config > MyChildAtSchool > Behaviour.

  • Detentions will be shown in the MCAS Parent App when the Enable Detention Module option is selected (as is the case in the MCAS web).
  • Detentions will be hidden for any year groups that have been selected in the Hide Detentions for YearGroups field (as is the case in the MCAS web).
