How to Setup and View the Staff Absence Thresholds

This page shows you how to setup and view the Staff Absence Widget. Use this Widget to identify Staff who have met defined absence criteria for example 10 days in a Month or 3 instances in a Term with the option to exclude certain Absence types.

Access: the minimum permissions required to access the Staff Absence Widget is found in the Profile module from Config>Setup>Roles and Permissions

From the left Menu go to Home > Overview.

Overview Pathway

On the Overview page click on the top right Settings options tick the Staff Absence Thresholds box and Save or Save & Close.

Note: When first using this option there will be no content, so you will need to untick the Hide Empty Widgets and Tiles box.

This will display ALL the other empty Widgets you have selected as well, when you have setup the Staff Absence Thresholds you can tick this box to hide the other Widgets again.

Select Widget

The Widget will now be displayed as a small Tile with no content.

Tile

Double click on the Tile and it will expand to show the Widget, with 3 icons, these are from left to right Config, Collapse, Refresh and Download. Click on the Config icon.

You can now set the Configurations with 5 option over a selected period of time.

Configuration

You can select the number or Days or Instances in the number of Day(s), Week(s), Month(s) or Term(s). Click the X icon to remove the selected line.

Then in the last column select the required Absence Code(s)

Then Show all staff members who have hit a threshold in the past number of Month(s) or Day(s).

Click on the Select absence types to exclude from the threshold calculations box to see a list of Staff Absence Types, select the Absences you do NOT want to include in the calculations for the Widget. This will now display the number of Absence Types selected, move the mouse pointer over this to show what has been selected, when done Save.

If a Reason is selected from the dropdown, it will be removed from the Exclusion dropdown at the bottom of the popup.

If the criteria is met the Widget will display as a Tile with the information.

Double click to expand the Widget.

Note: The Staff Absence Threshold Widget, displays the Preferred Name of the Staff Member by default, if there is no Preferred Name in the MIS, the Legal Name will be displayed.

Click on a Member of Staff to see a breakdown.

Note: Remember to go back to Settings and tick the Hide Empty Widgets and Tiles box.

Click on the Download to download the information as an Excel Worksheet to be saved locally on your computer
