This guide provides a suggested list of areas to work through to set up your Bromcom system, once the live system has been handed to you.
This guide is most relevant to schools who have been migrated from a previous MIS – blank system set ups are not covered in this guide.
This list is not exhaustive and there is a longer list of configurations available under the Configuration Module.

Core Setup Tasks
Below are some key setup tasks that are likely to be needed for all schools.

| 1 | Check your data has migrated successfully – as this is the live migration it is unlikely that there are any issues with your migration, but it is worth completing a final check. | 6 | Assign Roles and Permissions for Staff | All staff are allocated a basic teacher role, after the migration. Go to Others > Users to assign higher permissions. |

Some of the below may be needed depending on the configuration and data you wish to import before you go live.

Signing up for the Community and Technical Support
Signing up for the Community (https://community.bromcomcloud.com/) is an important step to complete before going live. The Community allows you to connect with thousands of Bromcom users, who can support you with common setup tasks, answer questions about the software, and help you build your Bromcom network.
Once the Onboarding phase is completed, contacts that have completed training can be registered to access telephone and online Bromcom support. Registered contacts will receive their invitation directly from Bromcom Support, which will have been explained by your Bromcom Project Manager.

Once registered on the Bromcom Support Portal, users automatically gain access to the Community. The Community Team can also be contacted directly via community@bromcom.com.
Note: If technical support is provided through a Support Centre, all requests should be directed to them. Any issues they cannot resolve will be escalated to Bromcom on your behalf. For questions about accessing support, please contact your Support Centre directly. Schools receiving support in this way are also encouraged to use the Community and can request access via the email address above.
