Use this guide to resolve School Census Error 1770

Error 1770;

  • DfE Validation: Check: Where SEN provision equals ‘E’ and DOB is between 2000-09-01 and 2014-08-31 (inclusive) at 2026-08-31 then must be Yes, No, ‘UNS’ or ‘SNR’
  • Where SEN provision is not equal to ‘E’ and DOB is between 2005-09-01 and 2014-08-31 (inclusive) at 2026-08-31 then must be ‘Yes’, ‘No’, ‘UNS’ or ‘SNR’
  • Explanation:
  • Youth support services agreement is missing or invalid
  • Either: 
    • Where a Student is returning a SEN Provision of type E (EHCP) in the Census AND the Pupil Date of Birth is between 2000-09-01 and 2014-08-31 (including those dates) then they must return a Youth Support Services Agreement of either “Yes”, “No”, “Unsought” or “Sought, no reply”. 
  • OR
    • Where a Student is returning a SEN provision that is not type E (EHCP) AND the pupil Date of Birth is between 2005-09-01 and 2014-08-31 (inclusive) then they must return a Youth Support Services Agreement of either “Yes”, “No”, “Unsought” or “Sought, no reply”. 
  • To set a YSSA, please go to the Student Profile > Student Details > Additional Details Tab >  Youth Support Services Agreement > Save.

From the Student Profile for the selected Students click on the edit pencil next to the Student Name to Edit Student Details

Edit Student Details

Then click on the Additional Details tab where you can check/amend the Youth Support Services Agreement drop down choices.

Remember to click Save if you make any amendments.

Youth Support Services Agreement

IMPORTANT in order for the resolved error/query to be removed from the list of errors/queries you would need to generate a new Census return and remember to use save & validate for the errors/queries to update/clear.
