Use this guide to resolve School Census Error 2372
Error 2372:
- DfE Validation: Alternative provision placement <LeavingDate> must be present, and on or before the school <LeavingDate> for pupils no longer on roll Pupil’s date of leaving a school arranged alternative provision (AP) placement must be present and on or before the date the pupil left the commissioning school
- Explanation: Go to Students>Student Profile>Enrolment>Alternative Provision Details>Select Record, and check the Date of Leaving Alternative Provision is on or before the date the Student became a leaver at your school.

Go to Students>Students Profile>Enrolment>Alternative Provision Details
In the Add Alternative Provision Details check the Date of Leaving alternative provision*
Click Save if making any amendments.
IMPORTANT in order for the resolved error/query to be removed from the list of errors/queries you would need to generate a new Census return and remember to use save & validate for the errors/queries to update/clear.
