Use this guide to resolve School Census Error 2780

Error 2780:

DfE Validation:

• <LearningActualEndDate> must not be present if <LearningAimStatus> equals ‘1’
• Learning aim actual end date has incorrectly been provided for a learning aim which is continuing that is, for which learning aim status equals ‘1’

Explanation:

• Go to Students>View Student Profile>Enrolment>Programme and Learning Aims>Select Learning Aim>Edit. If the Learning Aim Status is Continuing then the End Date should be BLANK>Save
• If the Learning Aim isn’t linked to a Programme Aim choose Learning Aim in the Enrolment tab in the Student Profile.

In the example below the Learning Aim is linked to a Programme Aim, if its not choose Learning Aims in Enrolment

Go to Students>View Student Profile>Enrolment>Programme and Learning Aims

Click the pencil icon to the right of the Learning Aim you wish to view/edit

Check that the End Date is BLANK if the Status is Continuing

Click Save if you make any amendments.

IMPORTANT in order for the resolved error/query to be removed from the list of errors/queries you would need to generate a new Census return and remember to use save & validate for the errors/queries to update/clear.
