Use this guide to resolve School Census Error 2970

SPRING RETURN ONLY

DfE Validation:

• Where <OnSite> equals ‘Y’ and <TypeOfChildcare> equals ‘U’ the number of hours between <OpeningTime> and <ClosingTime> should be greater than or equal to 9
• If the school has under 5 childcare, the number of hour for this provision must be equal to or greater than 9

Explanation:

• In Config>Administration>Characteristics>Extended Services>Under Fives >Type of Childcare is Under 5s then the number of hours between Opening Time and Closing Time should be more than or equal to 9 hours.

Go to Config>Administration>Characteristics>Extended Services>Type of Childcare>Under Fives>Edit

If Type of Childcare is Under Fives then Opening Time and Closing Time should return hours open of more then or equal to 9 hours.

Click Save.

IMPORTANT in order for the resolved error/query to be removed from the list of errors/queries you would need to generate a new Census return and remember to use save & validate for the errors/queries to update/clear.
