Use this guide to resolve School Census Error 5155
DfE Validation:
- If present <UniquePropertyReferenceNumber> must be in the correct format
- UPRN is not in the correct format (12 numeric characters)
Explanation:
- Go to Students>Student Profile>Edit Student Contact Details>Address. Delete the address record making note of the information before you delete it. Then re add the Address.
- Tip: use the Post Code finder if possible because it will automatically populate the UPRN as well as the other Address details.

Go to Students>Student Profile>then click to the right of the Student phone number to Edit Student Contact Details.
Click on the Address tab then click on the relevant icon for the Address you want to Edit or Remove. Click the + icon to add an Address
When adding an address use the Post Code finder if possible because it will automatically populate the UPRN as well as the other Address details.
Type in the Postcode and click the find button. Select the address from the list. Save
IMPORTANT in order for the resolved error/query to be removed from the list of errors/queries you would need to generate a new Census return and remember to use save & validate for the errors/queries to update/clear.
