Use this guide to resolve School Census Error 5235

DfE Validation:

• For pupils born between 2021-01-01 and 2021-12-31 (inclusive):
  where <FundedHours> are greater than zero <FundingBasis> must be present and a valid value
  
• 2-year-old basis for funding is missing or an invalid value for a two year old with funded hours 

Explanation:

• In Modules>Census>School>Select Return>Edit>Pupil Reconciliation for Students where Funded Hours is greater than zero then a Funding basis must be present in Student Profile>Funding & Allowances>Additional Information>Basis for 2 year old Funding.

To add Funding Basis go to Students>Student Profile>Funding & Allowances

Within the Funding & Allowances panel click the top right + icon and click Additional Information.

In the Additional Information tab tick the relevant * field(s) for *Basis for 2 year old Funding.

Remember to click Save if you make any changes.

IMPORTANT in order for the resolved error/query to be removed from the list of errors/queries you would need to generate a new Census return and remember to use save & validate for the errors/queries to update/clear.
