Use this guide to resolve School Census Query 2709Q

AUTUMN RETURN ONLY

Error 2709Q:

DfE Validation:

  • For pupils off roll, if <NCyearLeaving> is greater than 11 and <LeavingDate> is between 2022-10-07 and 2023-10-04 inclusive then at least one Learning Aim would be expected to be present 
  • Please check: Learning aims would normally be expected for a pupil who was on roll in Year 12 and above and left since the last autumn census

Explanation:

  • For off roll Students with a leaving date between 07/10/22 and 04/10/2023 inclusive AND in year 12 and above these Students are expected to have at least one Learning Aim.
  • To view these off roll Students go to Students>Search Filters>Status= Leaver>Add Additional columns>Year Group>Date of Leaving. See View Leaver Information

The example below shows how to add Learning Aims in the Student Profile.

Go to Students>View a Student>Enrolment Tab>Learning Aims

Learning Aims

Click the top right + icon in the Learning Aims panel.

Then complete the information as required, fields marked with an * must be completed in order to save the record.

Click Save

IMPORTANT in order for the resolved error/query to be removed from the list of errors/queries you would need to generate a new Census return and remember to use save & validate for the errors/queries to update/clear.
