In this guide we’ll look at what you can do if you need to have a Candidate sit an Exam at a different time to the Scheduled Exam Start Time. This can be useful when you have a Candidate with a Clash and you need to allow them to take one of the Exams at a different time to the rest of the Candidates.
Access: The minimum permissions required to access Manage Base Data can be found in the Exams module from within Config > Setup > Roles & Permissions.

Go to Modules > Examination > Manage Base Data.
Locate the Component that the Candidate needs to take at a different time, right click on it and select Copy Component.
In the pop-up that appears, enter the desired Exam Date and Exam Start Time, then use the Tick Boxes to the left of the candidate names to select which Candidates you would like to Transfer to the new Component. When you’re happy click Save.
Click Proceed on the following Warning message.
You’ll then see the Copy listed in the Base Data.
Should you need to Transfer further Candidates at a later date, you can do this by right clicking on the original Component and selecting Transfer Candidates.
In the pop-up that appears, use the Transfer to Component drop down to select the copied Component.
Then use the tick boxes to select which Candidates to Transfer. Once you’re happy click Transfer.
