Use this guide to resolve PLASC Errors 3156 and 12150.
Error 3156
- Welsh Government Validation: If <SENprovision>/100077 = N then <SENtype>/100081 must be DNA
- Explanation: If a student has an ALN Support Type of No Additional Learning Need, they must only have an ALN Type of Does Not Apply.
Error 12150
- Welsh Government Validation: If <SENprovision>/100077 ≠ N then <SENtype>/100081 must not be DNA
- Explanation: If a student has an ALN Support Type of anything other than No Additional Learning Need, they must not have an ALN Type of Does Not Apply recorded.

Select Students from the menu on the left.
Select the Student indicated in the error from the list, and click View.
Select Additional Learning Needs from the menu on the left.
Select the + button in the top right hand corner of the ALN Details panel and select ALN Support Plan.
Review the ALN Support Plans listed. ALN Support Plans can be edited or deleted by hovering over the Support Plan and using the Pencil button to edit the record or the Bin icon to delete it.
Next, select the ALN Type tab from the top of the pop-up. Review the ALN Types listed. ALN Types can be edited or deleted by hovering over the Support Plan and using the Pencil button to edit the record or the Bin icon to delete it.
Ensure that the ALN Support Plan records and the ALN Type records are consistent with one another. For example, if the student has an ALN Support Plan of N, then they should only have the ALN Type of Does Not Apply, similarly if they have an ALN Support Plan of C or L then they should not have an ALN Type of Does Not Apply.
IMPORTANT: In order for the resolved error/query to be removed from the list of errors/queries you would need to generate a new Census return and remember to use save & validate for the errors/queries to update/clear.
