Use this guide to resolve SWAC error 13036.
Error:
- <TeacherNumber> must be present where <QTStatus> = 1 Or where <StaffRole> = (‘EH’ or ‘HT’ or ‘AC’ or ‘DH’ or ‘AS’ or ‘QT’ or ‘LP’ or ‘SU’ or ‘LS’ or ‘TD’ or ‘TV’)
- Qualified teacher with teacher number missing.
Explanation:
Where a Staff Member is recorded as having achieved QTS or has one of the following roles, a Teacher Reference Number must be recorded.
Qualifying roles:
- Acting Headteacher
- Deputy Headteacher
- Assistant Headteacher
- Qualified Teacher with Qualified Teacher Status
- Leading Practitioner
- Teacher of the Deaf
- Teacher of the Visually Impaired

Select Staff from the menu on the left.
Find the Staff member indicated in the error in the list, select them and click View.
Select Background Check from the menu on the left.
Scroll down to the Qualification Checks panel and click anywhere in the top half of the panel to expand it.
Enter their Teacher Reference Number and click Save.
IMPORTANT in order for the resolved error/query to be removed from the list of errors/queries you would need to generate a new Census return and remember to use save & validate for the errors/queries to update/clear.
