To improve workflow and keep the MIS fresh and up to date, in 2020 we made big changes to our User Interface. Some of these pages were optional, giving you the choice of whether to adopt them.
The old pages will gradually be removed from November 2020.
What’s being removed and when?
- November 2020 – ‘Old Bromcom’ – Menu Bar and Navigation
- 16th July 2021 – Old Student Profile, Old Staff Profile and Old Groups Page
‘Old Bromcom’ – Old Menu Bar and Navigation (to be removed November 2020)
We introduced a new landing page and navigation.


The blue menu that runs across the top was replaced with a new menu down the left hand side of the screen.

It contains all the same options as before but now includes Report and Configuration menu options. The Report menu gives you access to all reports under the relevant module headings.
The number of available options under the modules menu was also paired back. As part of this, reports now have their own menu.
We also moved any menu items that are rarely used or are setup options and put them under a Configuration area at the bottom of the menu. With the removal of these items the menu is less cluttered.
Student Profile (to be removed 16th July 2021)
The student profile page was updated. The Basic Details tab replaced with a new Profile tab. This gives you pertinent information at a glance without having to navigate to other tabs, including but not limited to the following information.
- Emergency Contact Information
- Contacts
- Siblings
- Communication Logs
- Student Timetable


The Attendance, Assessment and Behaviour tabs on the Student Record were also overhauled. They now provide more information in a clearer, easier to read format.
Staff Profile (to be removed 16th July 2021)
The Staff Profile page has been given the same treatment as the Student Profile page, with more commonly-used information available on the Profile tab.
