How to Reset Dinner Numbers

In this guide we’ll look at how to Reset Dinner Numbers this can be used in the event that you need to need to change a confirmed Dinner. For example, if a Student was confirmed as taking a School Dinner but is now Absent and you need to remove the charge for the Dinner.

Access: The minimum permissions required to access Reset Dinner Numbers are found in the Dinner module from within Config > Setup > Roles & Permissions.

Go to Modules > Dinners > Reset Dinner Numbers

Pathway

Use the From and To fields to select the Date Range you would like to look at. Ensure that the Date Range covers the dates of any Dinners that you would like to edit.

Next, use the Type dropdown to select whether you would like to reset Student or Staff dinners. Then, click on the blue magnifying glass to open the Student or Staff selector. For the purposes of this guide, we’ll be using Students.

In the Student Selector, select the Student or Students you would like to edit the Dinner Selection for by clicking on them once to highlight them. You can use the filters to the left hand side to narrow down your search, if you make any selections in the filters click Find in the top left to update the list.

The list of Names will appear with the Confirmed Dinner Choice. Click on the ones you wish to Reset this allows you to do a second check on their choices before you reset them. Once you’re happy with your selections, click Done.

You’ll then see a row in the table for each Confirmed Dinner that the selected Students took during the Date Range you selected.

Reset Dinner Numbers

Select any entry that you would like to edit by clicking on them once to highlight them blue. Once you’re happy with your selections, click Reset in the top left hand corner.

You’ll get the following message, click Proceed to confirm.

This will unconfirm the dinner selection. You can now update the selection by selecting Students from the left hand menu.

Then select the Student(s) from the list by clicking on them once to highlight them, then select Actions > Dinner Register.

In the Date Field in the top right hand corner, select the date of the Dinner you would like to change.

Then, use the Meal Type dropdown to select the new Meal Type.

Once you’re happy click Save and Confirm.

You’ll receive confirmation in the top right hand corner that the Dinner Register has been Saved and Confirmed successfully.
