How to View Behaviour Reports

Behaviour Managers can use this guide to see examples of the various built in Behaviour Reports.

Access: The minimum permissions required to access the Behaviour Reports page is found in the Behaviour Module of Config>Setup>Roles & Permissions.

From the left menu go to  Reports>Behaviour to see the built in Reports under the headers Action, Event, Outcome, Behaviour or Individual.

Action

Action Code List – code lists do not show any student information. This report could be used to distribute to teachers or to review behaviour policies.

Report Parameters
  • Select the date you want to view Action Codes for, this is the date the Actions are active on.
  • There is an option to also show any Referrals from the Actions.

Action History List

This gives you a list of Students who have achieved the selected Actions that have been triggered in pathways for the selected Classes or Tutor Groups in a date range.

In the example below we have selected a single Tutor Group and a single Action for a single date. If you select more than one Group then the report will show a separate page for each Group selected.

  • Select the Group or Students and the Date Range.
  • Select the Actions you want to include in the report.
  • There are options to include more details, the students’ Houses and who the Action was referred to.
  • You can order the report either by Student Name or Action.

Example Action History Report

Event

Event Analysis Report. This report can be used to analyse specific Students and what Events were awarded in a date range with information on specific rooms, teachers, witnesses and outcomes.

For example you could have an event called Mobile Phone Usage and you want to analyse Year 10 Students who were awarded this event in for example the Main Hall.

  • Select the Group or Students and the Date Range.
  • You can then choose to search based on either Room, Event, Outcome or Staff.
  • There are options to include comments, classification and who the Action was referred to.
  • You can choose how to order the report e.g. by Student Name or Event.
  • Note: if you leave the fields blank this will report on all Rooms, Events, Outcomes, Enter By, Witness etc

In the example below Year 10 Students were selected and on the date selected 3 behaviour events were entered into the system against multiple Students hence in the top left of the report you will see 1 of 3 pages of reports.

You can however, choose to untick Include Event Separator and untick Add Page Break to get all the information together,

Event Code List – code lists do not show any student information. This report could be used to distribute to teachers or to review behaviour policies.

Report Parameters
  • Select the date you want to view Events Codes for, this is the date the Events are active on.
  • There is an option to also show any Referrals from the Actions.

Event Filter Report. This report can be used in the example you want to analyse which Year 10 Students were awarded two or more MPH = Mobile Phone Usage Event in a date range.

  • Select the Group or Students and the Date Range.
  • You can choose to report on All Events or just your Own.
  • Select the events you want to include in the report.
  • The Processed Filter allows you to select Processed, Unprocessed Events or all.
  • Set your thresholds, in terms of either number of Events or Points.
  • You can choose how to order the report e.g. by Student Name, Tutor Group, Gender.
  • You can add a description to appear on the report.

When you are happy with your selections click Preview.

Event Summary Report. This report summarises the positive and negative points awarded to students.  It is a good report for a high level overview.

You can choose Event Selection as By Event or By Event Type

The Day Start and Day End default to today’s date however, you can amend these for a date range.

Form Tutor Event Report. This report lists all of the behaviours of students, by Tutor Group.

Example Report Parameters
  • Select the Group of Students and the Date Range.
  • You can then choose to select by Events or by Outcome.
  • The Processed Filter allows you to select Processed, Unprocessed Events or all.
  • You can also filter by House.
  • There are options to include Comments, Adjustments and other details.
  • You can also choose whether to insert page breaks by Student.

Once you are happy with your choices click Preview.

Outcome

Outcome Analysis Report. This report can be used to report on how are the different behavioural outcomes being used in your school. It shows a list of all outcomes of events that have been logged.

Report Parameters
  • Select the Group or Students and the Date Range.
  • You can choose to report on All Events or just your Own.
  • You can then choose to search based on either Room, Outcome, Event or Staff.
  • There are options to include comments and who the Action was referred to.
  • You can choose how to order the report e.g., by Student Name or Outcome.

When you are happy with your choices click Preview.

Outcome Code List

This is another ‘Code’ report, simply listing what is active on a specific date.

Select the date for when the Outcomes are active.

Click Preview.

Behaviour

Referral Report

This report can be used to see what Events have been referred to members of staff. For example when setting up Events you can define that when an Event is logged against a students then this is ‘referred’ to a member of staff. For example you may have an Event called Mobile Phone Usage and when this is logged you want the Student Tutor to be told.

Example Report Parameters
  • Select how this report will select referrals.  These reports can be numbered when produced, so it is possible to produce a list only showing referrals made since the report was last run.
  • Select the Date Range and referral Staff Name/s.
  • Or you can choose Roles or Staff referred to.

When you are happy with your choices click Preview.

Behaviour Analysis Exports

This reporting area gives you access to a multitude of spreadsheet exports for further analysis.

Click on the Export drop down to see the following headers Simple Lists, Event Analysis, Action Analysis, History, Mail merge, Top 10, Totals, Diagnosis and Outcomes.

Choose an Export in the example below Event History by Date has been chosen. From here you can choose the Group you want to Export the data for , choose a Date Range and which Events to report on.

For the format of the Export click on the as drop down, choose from either Csv, Html or Xml.

When you are happy with your choices click the top left Export.

The report will then show in Exports File History, click on the red delete icon if you wish to delete an Export or simply click on it to open the Export.

Individual

Parent Student Report

Use this report to get a behaviour report to share with a parent/contact or for a meeting with a parent/contact.

Example Report Parameters
  • Select the Date Range, Student Name and Event Names to be included.
  • Decide what details you want to be shown – Comments, Referrals or Outcomes.
  • You can include a Salutation and Address if you plan to send this report to Parents.
  • Select how you want to order the report.
  • Choose whether to show Positive or Negative Points or both.
  • Set the Page Orientation for the report.

When you are happy with your choices click Preview.

Student Action Report

Use this report to see which students are triggering the different actions set up in Pathways

Example Report Parameters
  • Select the Date Range, Student Name and Action Names to be included.
  • You can choose to set a Page Break between students.

When you are happy with your choices click Preview.

Student Point Report

Use this Action report to see how many positive and negative points selected students are getting in relation to Actions set up in pathways.

Example Report Parameters
  • Select the Date and choose the Student Name/s and Action Names to be included.
  • You can set this report to break down the data by Student and to include a count of the Actions.

When you are happy with your choices click Preview.
