In this guide, we are going to troubleshoot submitting Exam Files via A2C
IMPORTANT : we strongly recommend checking with the exam boards directly to ensure they have the submissions files.
Access: To follow this guide, you will need the following minimum permission from the Examination Module of Config>Setup>Roles & Permissions.

Go to Modules>Exam>Manage Submissions
When the Manage Submissions page is opened the system checks for active A2C connections, and any unsubmitted files will be made available for Submission via the A2C exchange.
In this example the Submission file with the 2 opposite arrows symbol is ready to be sent via the A2C exchange.
In this example the Submission file is ready to be downloaded and sent via the standalone program (not A2C Exchange) If the files are showing as downloadable then the system isn’t seeing an active connection, for that exam board at that point.
If your file is not appearing available for sending via the exchange after setup then please check the following.
1.Submission files that are marked as submitted are ignored. Go to Modules>Exam> Manage Submissions.
- Are your files showing when Show submitted files in the Existing Submissions panel is unticked or only when ticked?
- If they are marked as submitted manually and you instead need to submit them via the exchange they need to be unmarked as submitted first – this is a circular arrow icon on the right hand side
- please do not submit files via both methods, they should be submitted to the board only once, unless specifically directed otherwise by the exam board
2.The exam board needs to be active in the active season for the connections to link, the easiest way to check this is just to set the active season to the season you are trying to submit . Modules > Exams > Active Season
3.Check the connection on Config > Exams > A2C Centre Setup – the lights will be green, Status = Ready for connected boards. If needed use the reconnect buttons on the far right of the page against the needed boards to re-connect/test.
After making these checks, reload the Manage Submissions page from Modules>Exam>Manage Submissions in the same tab you just tested the connections from.
Once the connection is in place upon the opening of the Manage Submissions page, any unsubmitted files should now show as available for submission via the exchange.
