How to Add a New Customer

Note: All pages below are subject to having relevant Roles and Permissions. Go to The Modules – Finance and Finance Home Page

Go to Accounts Receivable and select Customers.

Select New. 

Select the type of CustomerContacts, Staff and Students will be picked up through the existing data held in the system. Start typing to get the list of options.

An Account Reference is required. This is the Account Code you wish to assign to the Customer. (There is an enhancement in place to automatically assign these if required – a Customer book will need to be set up to enable this). Add a Credit Limit and Save. Once the Customer has been created, you can the Contact Details will be added in the bottom half of the Customer page if they are already in the system.

Alternatively complete the contact details in the space provided if it is a new customer.

Note: that the Customer Listing also contains details of the Oldest Debt and Outstanding Customer Balance. Some of these details are also contained on the Aged Debt Report.
