How to Manage Staff Qualifications

In this guide we’ll look at how to Add, Edit and Delete Qualifications and Subjects Offered on the Staff Profile.

Access: The minimum permissions required to access Staff Qualifications can be found in the Framework module from within Config > Setup > Roles & Permissions.

To Add Staff Qualifications first go to the Staff List Page.

Pathway

Select the Staff Member you would like to update by clicking on them once so they highlight in blue, then click View.

This will open the Staff Profile, select Qualifications from the left hand side.

The Qualifications page has 2panels – Qualifications and Subjects Offered

Qualifications

The Qualifications panel will display any Qualifications that have been added.

You can Add a new Qualification by clicking the the +button in the top right hand corner.

Add Qualifications

Enter the required information in the pop-up.

Add/Edit Qualification
  • Qualification – Select the type of Qualification from the dropdown.
  • Class – Select the level at which they achieved the Qualification from the dropdown.
  • Subject Area – Select the broad Subject Area the Qualification was in from the dropdown.
  • Main Subject – Once you’ve selected the Subject Area the Main Subject dropdown will open, select the Main Subject from the dropdown.
  • Subject Area/2nd Joint Subject – These fields are not mandatory but you do have the option to add a Subject Area and a 2nd Joint Subject.
  • Verified – If you have seen evidence of the Qualification you can tick this box.

Once you’re happy click Save and the Qualification will show in the panel.

You can Edit a Qualification by double clicking on it, or you can Delete a Qualification by clicking on it once to highlight it, then clicking the Bin icon in the top right hand corner.

You’ll receive the following Confirmation, click Proceed.

Subjects Offered

The Subjects Offered panel will display any Subjects the Staff Member can teach, with Ticks against the Key Stages they can teach that Subject too.

You can Add a new Subject by clicking the + button in the top right hand corner.

Select the Subject from the drop down and then define which Key Stages they can teach this Subject to using the Tick Boxes.

Add/Edit Subject

Once you’re happy click Save and the new Subject will appear in the Subjects Offered panel.

You can Edit a Subject by double clicking on it to open the Add/Edit Subject pop-up.

You can Delete a Subject by clicking on it once to highlight it and then clicking the Bin icon in the top right corner.

You’ll receive the following Confirmation message, click Proceed to confirm.

To Add Staff Qualifications first go to the Staff List Page.

Qualifications

The Qualifications panel will display any Qualifications that have been added.

You can Add a new Qualification by clicking the the +button in the top right hand corner.

Enter the required information in the pop-up.

  • Qualification – Enter the name of the Qualification
  • Title – If their Qualification awards them a new Title, you can enter it here.
  • Qualification Level – Select the type of Qualification they received from the dropdown.
  • Class – Select the level at which they achieved the Qualification from the dropdown.
  • Subject Area – Select the broad Subject Area the Qualification was in from the dropdown.
  • Main Subject – Once you’ve selected the Subject Area the Main Subject dropdown will open, select the Main Subject from the dropdown.
  • Subject Area/2nd Joint Subject – These fields are not mandatory but you do have the option to add a Subject Area and a 2nd Joint Subject.
  • Date Awarded – If known, enter the Date they received the Qualification
  • Country of Origin – If known, select from the dropdown the Country in which they received the Qualification.
  • Verified – If you have seen evidence of the Qualification you can tick this box.

Once you’re happy click Save and the Qualification will show in the panel.

You can Edit a Qualification by double clicking on it, or you can Delete a Qualification by clicking on it once to highlight it, then clicking the Bin icon in the top right hand corner.

You’ll receive the following Confirmation, click Proceed.

Subjects Offered

The Subjects Offered panel will display any Subjects the Staff Member can teach, with Ticks against the Key Stages they can teach that Subject too.

You can Add a new Subject by clicking the + button in the top right hand corner.

Select the Subject from the drop down and then define which Key Stages they can teach this Subject to using the Tick Boxes.

Once you’re happy click Save and the new Subject will appear in the Subjects Offered panel.

You can Edit a subject by double clicking on it to open the Add/Edit Subject pop-up.

You’ll receive the following Confirmation message, click Proceed to confirm.
