In this guide we’ll look at how you can use the new Teacher App to record a Safeguarding Incident.
The Teacher App is designed to help Teachers complete their day to day tasks, on the go, quickly and easily and is free to download from the App Store for iPhones or Google Play Store for other devices.
From the Modules screen, select Safeguarding Incident.
Note: This option will not be present for all Staff Members, it will only appear if you have the relevant Permissions within Bromcom to access Safeguarding Information.
This will take you to a Student List, select the Student you would like to record a Safeguarding Incident for. You can use the Search Bar to look for a particular Student if required.
Clicking on a Student takes you to the Safeguarding Incident entry form.
At the top of the screen you can see some basic information about the Student. Below this, you have the form to record the Safeguarding Incident, select the Date and Time, the Incident Status, and the Incident Category from the available options. You then have a free text field in Incident Details to record further information. All fields are mandatory.
Once you’re happy click Submit to save the Safeguarding Incident.
If you try to leave the page without clicking Submit you will receive the following warning. If you want to leave without saving click Yes, Exit but if you would like to save the Incident click on No, Stay and it will take you back to complete and Submit the form.
