This page contains some helpful guides for secondary schools who are making changes to their Period Structure and Timetable over the coming days and weeks, as schools return from lockdown.

Amending your Period Structure

• Create a New Day Structure (e.g Extra or Fewer Periods).

Important: if you have applied a Period Structure (as opposed to simply renamed Periods), then you will need to re-Import your Timetables, and re-create your Tutor Group Timetables. Please see the section below.

Associated Timetable and Other Changes

• If you need to Apply a new Timetable please see relevant guidance on importing from e-Timetable, Nova-T and Keith Johnson Timetabler.

• If you need to re-generate your Tutor Group Timetables please follow this guide. Please remember this will create a full Timetable for all Associated Staff and Rooms, so if you have split Tutors, you will need to re-create these manually. If in doubt about this part, please contact the Helpdesk.

• If you have new Groups in the MIS from your Timetable Import, or you need to change Student Classes, you can use Bulk Group Assignment

• If you have a new Period Structure, you will also need to reset your Register Update Parameters.
