How to Process Paying In Slips in Accounts Receivable

In this guide, we show How to Add a Paying In Slip and How to Cancel a Paying In Slip in the Finance Module.

Access: The minimum permissions required to Process Paying In Slips are found in the Finance Module section of Config > Setup > Roles & Permissions.

How to Add a Paying In Slip

Go to Modules > Finance > Finance Home Page > Accounts Receivable > Paying in Slips.

Note: If the customer is marked as On Hold, their Receipt will not appear in the Pay In list. Make sure to check the customer status before attempting to add their Receipt.

Select Add.

Complete the details, including the Control Total, and then highlight the relevant transactions and select Pay In.

The system will ask for Confirmation.

The transaction will then appear in the Bank Statement ready to be Reconciled.

How to Cancel a Paying In Slip

Highlight the row to be cancelled in the Accounts Receivable Paying In Slips panel and then click Cancel.

The system will ask for Confirmation and for a Reason for the cancellation.

The cancelled Paying in Slip can then be seen in the Accounts Receivable Paying In Slips panel with Cancelled as its Status.

A Journal is posted for the cancelled Paying in Slip. This can be viewed in the Journal Browser.

This cancellation Journal will also be available in the Bank Reconciliation page to be reconciled on a future bank statement.
