In this guide, we will show you how to resolve the School Workforce Census Error 4740.

Navigate to the Staff record, then click the Contracts tab on the left then double click on the Contract that is active as of SWF Census Reference Date.
Important: It may be necessary to check Inactive Contracts for this staff member to resolve this Error. Be prepared to check any Contracts that were Active from 01/09/2021, even if they are no longer Active.
Once the Contract is open, click one the Pay tab and then use the Pencil Icon to see the details within the Pay.
Finally, double check that the Weeks per Year and Hours per Week fields are populated.
Even if you did not make any changes, Save
IMPORTANT in order for the resolved error/query to be removed from the list of errors/queries you would need to generate a new Census return and remember to use save & validate for the errors/queries to update/clear.
