How to Update Student ULN using LRS

Note: All pages below are subject to having relevant Roles and Permissions.

Use this function to obtain ULN’s for student/s from LRS.

The CTF Export function is accessed from the Student List page

Go to the Students List page and select the Students that need a ULN.

Click on the Actions drop down and select CTF Export on..

This will open the CTF Export page from the Export Type drop down list select ULN Request and click on the Export button.

This will generate a CTF file, your browser will download this and ask you if you want to open or save it. Save the file to your PC.

You will now need to go the LRS ULN Service. Your school should have the details to login to this service.

Note : Bromcom do not have any users names or passwords, this site is run by the DfE.

Once you are logged in you need to follow the DfE guidance linked here. It asks you to export a CTF from your MIS which is shown in steps 1-3 above.  Once you have followed the guidance you will need to perform the steps below to Import the file.

Once you have the CTF file from S2S save a copy of it to your PC. Go to the Students List page in the MIS and on the Actions drop down select CTF Import.

This will open the CTF Import page, click on the Browse button and find the CTF file you saved to your PC.

Ensure that only the Student Optional tick box is selected and click on the Next button.

On the page below you will see an Overview of what Students have been matched from the CTF with the Students already in the MIS, click on the Import button.

The ULNs will now have been Imported.
