How To Distribute User Defined Fields within Vision

Note: All pages below are subject to having the relevant Roles and Permissions.

This will allow User Defined Fields to be distributed throughout the schools.

Please be aware when distributing central changes from Vision for User Defined Fields this process will also push out the roles from your central system as well. So if a school has amended the Teacher role it will be overwritten by the Teacher role in the central MIS

Ticking the Show MIS Count box will show the number of schools that have the User Defined Fields available in the MIS. The MIS Count column values for the User Defined Fields is now active.

Note: Enabling this count can increase the time it takes the User Defined Fields table to load.

Clicking on a Value in the MIS Count column will open a School Distribution pop-up, where a User Defined Field can be Distributed to a single selected School.

One or more User Defined Fields can be selected by ticking the boxes to the left of the User Defined Filed Names or click the top left box to Select All. The number of Fields selected will display top left.

Once selected click the Distribute button to open the Distribute User Defined Fields to Schools pop-up.

From the School Filter select All Schools and then from the Schools dropdown list the School/s to Distribute the User Defined Fields to. Selecting Phases or School Set will display an additional dropdown list to select either the Phase/s or the School Set/s to distribute the User Defined Fields to.

Note: The User Defined Fields option within the MIS includes Permissions as to who can Read Only or Read and Edit the User Defined Fields. When Distributing User Defined Fields to schools within the MAT these Permissions will be included in the Distribution Process.
