How to add Safeguarding information to a Students Record

Use this guide to add the following information to a Students Profile

Access: The minimum permissions required to lookup specific students are found in the Framework Module>Students of Config>Setup>Roles & Permissions.

Access Safeguarding in the Student Profile

Go to Students>Select the Students>View to open the Student Profile

Click on Safeguarding in the left hand menu in the Student Profile

Looked After

Either scroll down to see Looked After or click on the top right drop down arrow and select Looked After to jump to that section in the Safeguarding tab

Access Looked After Panel

In the Looked After Section click the + symbol on the right hand side.

Add Looked After

All fields marked with an * should be completed

  • Type in the Start Date* ( this defaults todays date) and End Date if required
  • Choose the Caring Authority from the drop down choices
  • Choose the Type of Care from the drop down choices
  • PEP is ticked by default, untick if required.
Add Looked After

Once you are happy with the information inputted click Save

Save the record

Child Protection

Either scroll down to see Child Protection or click on the top right drop down arrow and select Child Protection to jump to that section in the Safeguarding tab

Access Child Protection Panel

In the Child Protection Section click the + symbol on the right hand side.

Add Child Protection

All fields marked with an * should be completed

  • Type in the Start Date* ( this defaults todays date) and End Date if required
  • Choose the Registering Authority from the drop down choices
  • Type in Notes if required

Once you are happy with the information inputted click Save
