Use this guide to resolve School Census Error 3120

Error 3120:

DfE Validation:

• For all school phases, the following criteria for 3 year olds applies:
• <DAFIndicator> must only be present and a valid value for all 3 year olds where: [DOB is as follows:
  • Autumn: For pupils born between 2019-09-01 and 2020-08-31 (inclusive)
  • Spring: For pupils born between 2019-09-01 and 2020-12-31 (inclusive)
  • Summer: For pupils born between 2019-09-01 and 2020-03-31 (inclusive)]
• For all schools, the following criteria for 4 year olds applies:
• <DAFIndicator> must only be present for 4 year old where: [<NCyearActual> equals ‘E1’, ‘E2’, ‘N1’ or ‘N2’] AND
• [DOB is as follows:
  • Autumn: For pupils born between 2018-09-01 and 2019-08-31 (inclusive)
  • Spring: For pupils born between 2019-01-01 and 2019-08-31 (inclusive)
  • Summer: For pupils born between 2019-04-01 and 2019-08-31 (inclusive)]
• The disability access fund indicator should only be recorded for all pupils aged 3 and those aged 4 who are in nursery provision

Explanation:

• The DAF (disability access fund indicator) should only be ticked for pupils age 3 and those aged 4 (see date of birth ranges above) and in nursery provision i.e. year groups E1, E2, N1 or N2.
• To be eligible for the Disability Access Funding the child must have the DAF indicator ticked AND have the universal 15 hours entitlement in Module>Census>Select Return>Pupil Reconciliation>Funded Hours>Generate.
• To view/amend the DAF indicator go to Students>View Student Profile>Funding & Allowances>Additional Information>The child is in receipt of disability living allowance>Save

Go to Students>Student Profile>Funding & Allowances>Additional Information.

Then click the + icon and select Additional Information f you wish to tick the DAF indictor

If you wish to untick the DAF indicator click on the record

Click Save if you make any amendments.

IMPORTANT in order for the resolved error/query to be removed from the list of errors/queries you would need to generate a new Census return and remember to use save & validate for the errors/queries to update/clear.
