Use this guide to resolve School Census Query 270Q & Error 420

Query 270Q:

• DfE Validation <Email> should be present
• Explanation: Go to Config>Administration>Core Details and check Email is correct.>Save.
• Tip: The email address for official communications must be present and include the character ‘@’. The email address you provide, must be for an account that is used on a regular basis and one that the head teacher has access to, such as, ‘head@’ or ‘office@’. This would not normally be an email address that identifies a particular individual by name.

Error 420:

• DfE Validation <PhoneNo> must be present
• Explanation: Go to Config>Administration>Core Details and check Telephone No is correct and Save

To resolve this query you can either go to Config>Administration>Core Details

School Details

Check the Email and/or Telephone No fields are correct for your school. Click Save.

OR you can also access the School Details panel from within the Census screen when you create a Census return and then click Edit

Both these pathways will take you to the Core Details panel in your MIS.

If you do edit any School Details from within the Census panel remember to click the top right Refresh button to show any changes.

IMPORTANT in order for the resolved error/query to be removed from the list of errors/queries you would need to generate a new Census return and remember to use save & validate for the errors/queries to update/clear.
