Use this guide to resolve School Census Errors 1871 & 1874

Error 1871:

• DfE Validation: <PLAA> must be present and a valid value
• Explanation: A Student must have Post Looked After Access Arrangements set. This will usually default to “None” within their record, so please re-save if required. This can be done via their Student Record > Edit Student Details > Additional Details Tab > Post Looked After > Save. 

Error 1874:

• DfE Validation : <PLAA> must not be equal to ‘R’ where <DOB> is on or after 2014-04-22
• Explanation: This is an invalid PLAA Code. “Residence orders” was replace with “Child Arrangement Order” in 2014, please ensure you’ve selected a valid PLAA code from the list to reflect the Student status.

To resolve this error go the Student Profile and click Edit Student Details to the right of the Student Name.

Then Click on the Additional Details tab to update/check the Post Look After Arrangements for the selected Student.

Remember to click Save if you make any amendments.

IMPORTANT in order for the resolved error/query to be removed from the list of errors/queries you would need to generate a new Census return and remember to use save & validate for the errors/queries to update/clear.
