Use this guide to resolve School Census Error 1882

Error 1882:

• DfE Validation: For PupilsOnRoll where <NCyearActual> equals ‘R’ or 12 and <EntryDate> is after 2023-07-31 (the end of the previous academic year) then <SessionsPossible> must not be present 
• Explanation:
  • Where a Student has “joined” Reception or Year 12 after having already been at the School, they have not left and come back, they should have one continuous record. 
  • Ensure their Enrolments and School History records in their Student Profile reflect the Student has not “left the School and returned”, but instead shows they’ve been with your all along, and just moved up a Year. 
  • IF the Student DID actually leave and come back however, this error will be accepted on Collect provided a suitable explanation is provided within Collect

For those Students identified go to the Student Profile and click the Enrolment tab on the left hand side

Then in the School History panel click on the pencil icon on the required record to check or Edit School History.

Click Save if you make any amendments.

IMPORTANT in order for the resolved error/query to be removed from the list of errors/queries you would need to generate a new Census return and remember to use save & validate for the errors/queries to update/clear.
