23/2/2020 The Government has updated its guidance on Covid-19 testing in schools, after the return of schools on 8th March. Tests will mostly be carried out at home for secondary school pupils. Read the update here.

Providing Consent for Students to have Covid-19 tests at the School

A Covid-19 testing option can be added to the Parental Consent section of the Student Profile.

First, it will have to be added to the Administration Lookup Table using the Parental Consent Types option from the Admin Lookup dropdown list. See How To Edit Lookup Tables.

Once the new Parental Consent has been added to the Lookup Table, this can be added to All Students by using the Quick Edit option. To do this from the left Menu go to Students > Selections button > Select All. Then from the Actions button select Quick Edit. Select Parental Consent Type from the Attribute dropdown and the name you gave to the Lookup from the Value dropdown and click the Update button.

The Parental Consent option will now be added to All Students on on their Profile page.

When Consent has been given click on the + icon top right double click on the item to be given Consent, select the Granted By and Date Granted from the dropdown lists and click Save.

This will now update to show Consent has been Granted.

You can then create a list of Students who have parental consent from the Student List page.

Tracking Covid-19 Tests

The Medical Events section has been improved, predominantly to help with Covid-19 Mass Testing.

Medical Event Types has been added to the Lookup Table, by default this has Covid-19 Test already in it.

The Medical Event can then be accessed from the Students List in 2 ways.

Students > select one or more Students > Actions > Log Medical Event

Students > select one or more Students > View > Health Background > Medical Conditions section, where a Medical Event can be viewed. Click the Pencil icon to Edit, Dustbin icon to Delete or the Plus icon to add New.

Medical Events can also be added for Staff.

The Medical Event can then be accessed from the Staff List in 2 ways.

Staff> select one or more Staff Members > Actions > Log Medical Event

Staff > select one or more Staff Members > View > Profile > Medical Events section, where a Medical Event can be viewed. Click the Pencil icon to Edit, Dustbin icon to Delete or the Plus icon to add New.

Note: Permissions are needed to view this section, this is set for Administrator only by default.
