Use this guide to resolve School Census Errors 221,223, 224 & 240

Error 221; Valid for PRU(Pupil Referral Units) only

• Dfe Validation<Intake> must be present and equal to `COMP’
• Explanation :Ensure your intake is set to `COMP’ via Config>Administration>Characteristics

Error 223 Valid for SP (Special) or HOSP ( Hospital Special) schools only

• DfE Validation: If <Phase> does not equal ‘SP’, <Intake> must not equal ‘SPEC’ or ‘HOSP’
• Explanation : Check your intake is set to ‘SPEC’ (special) or HOSP (hospital special) via Config>Administration>Characteristics

Error 224; Valid for SP(Special Schools) only

• DfE Validation: <Intake> must be present and equal to ‘SPEC’ or ‘HOSP’
• Explanation : Ensure your intake is set to either `SPEC’ or ‘HOSP’ via Config>Administration>Characteristics

Error 240; Valid for Primary, Middle/primary, Middle/secondary, Secondary and All-through schools only.

• DfE Validation : <Intake> must be present and a valid value
• Explanation: Check your intake via Config>Administration>Characteristics

Check the Intake and/or School Phase drop down choices are correct for your school, remember to click Save if making any amendments

IMPORTANT: in order for the resolved error/query to be removed from the list of errors/queries you would need to generate a new Census return and remember to use save & validate for the errors/queries to update/clear.
