School Census Error 4040

DfE Validation:

  • <YoungCarer> must be present and a valid value

DfE Explanation:

  • Young carer indicator is missing or invalid

The Young Carer Indicator in the Student Profile>Edit Student Details>Additional Details defaults to Not Declared. In the event of Error 4040 you will need to click save to re-save the Student Record.

Go to Students>Profile>Edit Student Details

Edit Student Details

Choose the Additional Details tab and click Save even in the event the Young Carer Indicator drop down is Not declared.

IMPORTANT in order for the resolved error/query to be removed from the list of errors/queries you would need to generate a new Census return and remember to use save & validate for the errors/queries to update/clear.
