School Census Errors 1635, 1636 & 1637

Use this guide to resolve School Census Errors 1635, 1636 & 1637

Error 1635:

  • DfE Validation Where <MathsGCSEHighestPriorAttainment> is present and the grade is equal to ‘D’, ‘E’, ‘F’, ‘G’, / ‘3’, ‘2’, ‘1’ or ‘U’  <MathsGCSEPriorAttainmentYear11> must be equal to ‘3’
  • Explanation: Via Modules>Census>Student Prior Attainment>Previous Academic Year> where the learner has not achieved grade ‘A*’-‘C’/ ‘9’-‘4’  in Maths GCSE then the Maths Year Awarded column must equal 3

Error 1636:

  • DfE Validation Where <MathsGCSEHighestPriorAttainment> is present and the grade is equal to ‘A*’-‘C’ / ‘9’-‘4’  <MathsGCSEPriorAttainmentYear11> must be equal to ‘1’ or ‘2’
  • Explanation: Via Modules>Census>Student Prior Attainment >Previous Academic Year> where the learner has achieved a grade between ‘A*’-‘C’ or ‘9’-‘4’ in Maths GCSE, then the Maths Year awarded column must be equal to ‘1’ or ‘2’

Error 1637:

  • DfE Validation Where <EnglishGCSEHighestPriorAttainment> is present and the grade is equal to ‘D’, ‘E’, ‘F’, ‘G’ / ‘3”’2’ ‘1’ or ‘U’  <EnglishGCSEPriorAttainmentYear11> must be equal to ‘3’
  • Explanation : Via Modules>Census>Student Prior Attainment>Previous Academic Year where the learner has not achieved between grades ‘A*’-‘C’ or ‘9’-‘4’  in English GCSE, then the English Year awarded column must equal 3.

In the Student Prior Attainment panel check the English Language & Mathematics Year Awarded drop downs correct for your school

English Example

IMPORTANT:  in order for the resolved error/query to be removed from the list of errors/queries you would need to generate a new Census return and remember to use save & validate for the errors/queries to update/clear.
